…so I got to meet with the family of the spunky little girl below tonight to show them their entire set of proofs. I created a couple of storyboards for them–and me and mom absolutely fell in love with this one…
The more I looked at it, the more I was drawn to it. I did some work to give the images some punch, but the coolest, non-intentional thing about it is that the colors in the image create a rainbow as your eye moves from left to right. How fun!
…with Mason feeling under the weather, I had a chance to catch some alone time with my little girl today. I still find it harder to photograph my own children than my clients, but I guess that’s what makes them good practice. We were hanging out in the “office” which will someday (hopefully soon) be her very own room. Today was the first time that she actually mentioned wanting a big-girl bed. I didn’t mention how that would mean she wouldn’t get to sleep in the same room as Mason…we’ll save that for another day when he’s feeling better…
…the mom of this spunky little girl has been more than patient with waiting to see the images from this shoot. This was the second time I had the pleasure of working with this little girl, and she has grown into the most amazing and intelligent 3 1/2 year-old. She is quite a sweetheart, but she also made some of the most hilarious expressions during our session and I decided that the processing for these images should be equally as fun.

…I kept trying to kid with her and saying things like, “your cat lives in that doll house, right”? She was on to me, I got a big “NO!” for this picture. The colors in her room were so much fun.
i feel so privileged to be featuring the music of Renee & Jeremy and their album It’s a Big World on my website. i came across their site the other day and absolutely fell in love with their music. their lyrics speak those messages that we all try so hard to tell our children. it’s soothing and mellow, yet playful. give it a listen, and when you fall in love with it, run to Barnes and Noble to buy it!
